On a Tangent

The comment boards following online news stories generally tend to be depressing.  But thanks to “Mathgeek” who commented on a CNN.com story about whether birds falling from the sky mean the end of time is upon us, even those who are normally serious were able to smile. 

This comment from “Mathgeek”was appropriate not only for the story at hand, but contains a bit of wisdom for all who comment online, on any story.   Here is the funniest thing I’ve seen in any online comments section in many months – any the funniest ever involving trigonometric functions.

I think Cheefsfury was referencing the siners, who are the rival gang to the cosiners. Depending on how you mix them together, you can go off on a tangent.
