Reason helps us understand and explain our world, but it is only one aspect of the experience of life.  The whole experience is characterized by sights and sounds, feelings, thoughts reasonable and thoughts random, emotions great and small, compulsion, instinct, desire, compassion, and a sense of something greater within which we all have our being.
